Wire makes highly secure communication practical – for the most demanding organizations in the world. Whether governments, parliaments, the military or global enterprises with strict security requirements, our customers shape the world. Our role is to help them do that securely.

In their everyday work, our employees don’t only develop our software – they’re also active in national and international committees. As a co-initiator of Messaging Layer Security (MLS), we have helped to shape the future of secure online communication. We’re currently focusing on the area of interoperability between messaging services in order to ensure smooth communication across several services.

We conduct our research and development at our Berlin headquarters and comply with the strictest data protection standards there. Rather than seeing these regulations as an obstacle, we view them as a strength that underpins our promise to our customers: secure communication in all circumstances.

Benjamin Schilz

Group CEO

Benjamin Schilz is an experienced international entrepreneur with a strong track record in delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions to the market. He was the founder of Acorus Networks, a bootstrapped cybersecurity and cloud-management company based in France, which was later merged with Volterra. During his tenure at Volterra, he secured additional funding, managed global operations and customer deployment strategy, and later negotiated and completed Volterra’s acquisition by the global technology company F5, where he then served as Vice President for Infrastructure & Operations.

Juan Perea Rodríguez

General Manager & Chief Commercial Officer

Juan Perea Rodríguez, Wire's General Manager & Chief Commercial Officer, whose extensive career spans both public and private sectors across the globe. With a wealth of expertise in crafting digitization solutions for clients of all scales, Juan's professional journey includes his former roles as Managing Director and Head of Sales, Consulting, and Digitization at the renowned technology firm, Fujitsu. Additionally, he serves as a board member of Initiative D21, a trusted network that provides counsel to the German government on matters pertaining to digitization.

Sascha Haase

SVP Product Management

Sascha Haase has been involved in computer technology since the age of eight. He has a higher education diploma in business law and management. Before joining Wire, Sascha worked in the service provider market for different providers and launched the first Managed Kubernetes offering in the European market. His goal in Wire's product development is to achieve the highest levels of both security and usability.

Maria Kruber

SVP Finance & CFO Wire US Inc.

Maria Kruber showcased her expertise as an interim CFO for 50+ companies. Prior to this, she spent over a decade in a global corporate role, overseeing budgets in the multi-million range. Her exceptional skills in strategic financial decision-making and her ability to enhance operational efficiency significantly contributes to Wire's financial success.

Mario Conti

VP Engineering

Marco Conti has 20+ years of hand-on experience as software developer, engineering manager and architect. He has a diverse experience in various domains, from intranet systems for supermarkets management, to well-known mobile games at one of the world leading studios, with a sprinkle of open source projects in between. Having been part of the Wire team since 2013, he has helped Wire grow and adapt to new challenges while wearing many hats. He's currently focusing on Wire's architecture and integrations.

Oliver Brown

VP Sales

With over 15+ years of experience in the information technology, software, and services industry, Oliver is a seasoned commercial leader renowned for his customer centric approach. Oliver is deeply passionate about crafting and delivering innovative, multi-channel strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
In his current role at Wire, Oliver harnesses his wealth of experience across both the private and public sector to develop, implement, and execute the Sales & Marketing go-to-market strategy. The mission is clear: to increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth, whilst delivering exceptional experiences and value for Wire’s customers and partners. 
Oliver’s career includes notable leadership positions at Zivver, Medallia, Microsoft, and SAP.

Andrea Hingst

VP People & Culture

Andrea Hingst manages all of Wires People & Culture activities and makes sure we attract and retain the best talents. Before joining the company she was HR Lead Germany at getronics and a Senior HR Business Partner at Holiday Pirates Group and at Deutschlandradio. She holds an economics degree from Berlin School of Economics and Law with a specialization in HR Management, also she’s a systemic business coach.

Robert Kallwies

Director Information Security

Robert Kallwies is an information security professional with more than 20 years of experience as a cybersecurity specialist in management consultancies and international accounting firms. He was also a senior manager for information security in an enterprise organization with more than 20 legal entities, where he was responsible for the group wide IT continuity management. At Wire, Robert leads our security engineering team and monitors all relevant security certifications and compliance requirements.
