📣 Attention please, Wire users! Our team is excited to announce a major navigational overhaul to our webapp client. This latest update brings a fresh look and new features; giving you a productivity boost for when the summer heat slows you down. Our old navigation is a relic from times past; it can feel messy and confusing, particularly for new users. Our primary goal with these changes is to simplify and standardize the app by making important flows and actions easier to access. Easier navigation helps you be more efficient, letting you get to what you need faster and communicating better.
The revamped design eliminates unnecessary elements, creating a sleeker and more user-friendly experience. No need to choose between different views, like conversation lists or folders. It’s now all in one view, and customizable through different viewing options. Conversation search is now on top of the conversation list, without needing to go into a separate view to search like before. This new sidebar also makes it easier for us to integrate exciting new features soon. Curate your conversation list to focus on your most important chats. This is especially useful for our users that feel an overwhelming sense or anxiety by so many different chats fighting for attention. Get more control over what you see and when, reducing clutter and promoting focus.
This has been a long labor of love, and the visible changes are immediately noticeable, with a focus on the user experience. Users will be able to better manage conversations and future features with the new view. Wire enables you to take ownership of your experience - customize the app in the manner that best suits your needs. Conversations will now show a “sent” timestamp within the layout. Plus, introducing a new feature: jump to the last message in a conversation, saving you time from endless scrolling.
