Wire Wins “One to Watch Security – Company” at the 2025 Computing Security Awards

Wire, Europe’s leading secure communication platform, has been named “One to Watch Security – Company” at this year’s Computing Security Awards in London.

The annual awards, organized by Computing Security Magazine, celebrate the companies, products, and services that protect the digital infrastructure of organizations worldwide. Since 2010, the event has become a benchmark for cybersecurity innovation, highlighting the teams that push the boundaries of trust, encryption, and compliance.

“This recognition reinforces the growing demand for sovereign and secure communication solutions in Europe and beyond,” said Oliver Brown, VP Commercial at Wire. “Being named One to Watch reflects how far we’ve come in delivering truly end-to-end secure collaboration for enterprises, governments, and critical infrastructure and how much opportunity lies ahead as organizations look for European-built alternatives to Big Tech.”

Wire was shortlisted in four categories at this year’s awards including Encryption Solution of the Year, The Compliance Award, Security Company of the Year, and One to Watch Security – Company. The win underscores Wire’s momentum as the fastest-growing secure collaboration platform in Europe, trusted by more than 1,800 organizations and 20 million users globally.

With 85% year-over-year revenue growth and the successful rollout of Messaging Layer Security (MLS) to thousands of enterprise and government users, Wire continues to set the standard for secure and compliant communication. The company’s open-source architecture, European hosting, and transparent encryption practices ensure data sovereignty without compromising usability or scale.

This year, Wire further expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Pydio, a secure enterprise content management platform creating a unified ecosystem for encrypted messaging, conferencing, and document collaboration.

“We’re proud to see European innovation recognised on a global stage,” said Oliver Brown, VP Commercial at Wire. “This award is a testament to our belief that trust and sovereignty must be built into communication from the start — not added as an afterthought.”
