Munich & Berlin, 30 June 2026 – Materna Virtual Solution, a specialist in highly secure working environments on mobile devices, and Wire, provider of the secure communication platform Wire, are joining forces in a new strategic partnership. Together, the two companies deliver holistic, sovereign solutions for ultramobile work.
With this collaboration, Materna Virtual Solution and Wire address a central challenge faced by government agencies and security-critical organizations: while ultramobile work has long been a reality, requirements for information security, compliance, and digital sovereignty continue to rise. What is needed, therefore, are holistic and secure solutions for ultramobile work that support security levels up to VS-NfD as required, while enabling productive, device-independent work on smartphones or tablets – without relying on fragmented applications or platforms based outside the EU.
The partnership also marks the beginning of close technological collaboration, centered on the Wire messenger from the company of the same name and the established SecurePIM container solution from Materna Virtual Solution. SecurePIM consolidates core modules for secure ultramobile work, protected within a single app, including email, calendar, contacts, browser, camera, and more. These modules are now being specifically extended with Wire messenger functionality, including secure messaging, video conferencing, and secure voice and video calling.
Through the secure address book integrated into SecurePIM, protected contacts can be used directly for Wire calls. Building on this, further development stages will follow, mapping work and communication processes on smartphones and tablets step by step and without media breaks within a protected environment.
