We are thrilled to announce that Wire has been positioned by G2 Crowd, the world's leading enterprise software and services review platform, as a Leader and High Performer in their latest Grid Report. This is the first year Wire has been placed in the Leaders quadrant, joining Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Cisco, following the launch of our next generation end-to-end encrypted video conferencing platform. We are grateful to share this celebration in partnership with the many customers who have provided insightful product feedback every step of the way.
“We are proud to have moved from ’Niche’ to ‘Leader’, thanks to our customers' feedback in such a short period of time. This is a testament to the secure and user-friendly product we deliver to customers around the world every day” says Rasmus Holst, Wire's Chief Revenue Officer.
The promotion comes as we bring a new perspective on secure and private communication. With the newly launched Conferencing 2.0 - we challenged the conventions of security for large scale conference calls and that is important for organizations as the problem of cyber-risk keeps growing.
“We believe that being the most secure collaboration and communication platform is what makes us successful. I am proud that the team delivered this as an industry first - it is another evidence that our customers get industry-leading technology from Wire” says Alan Duric, CTO and Co-founder of Wire.
Conferencing 2.0 is just the latest launch of new products to increasingly give customers better control of their data security, privacy, and sovereignty. The launch of the on-premise Wire Enterprise Technology has been widely adopted by government organizations globally to protect sensitive information and keep data away from bad actors.
“We see that in a world of growing cybercrime, mobility, and remote working - governments and security-aware organizations are investing in ensuring that the tools that form the back-bone of their communication are as secure and private as possible” says Morten Brøgger, CEO of Wire.
Wire’s visionary technology leadership was further cemented as competitors announced that they would commence work on end-to-end encrypted architectures - recognizing that the future of collaboration is built on E2EE.
“This is flattering - and we knew we made the right technology decision. We started the work to transform Wire five years ago and all services - message, voice, video, files, screenshare, integrations, search are built on E2EE. Setting up a single service is doable - transforming the architecture is the hard part”, elaborates Alan Duric.
We believe that our customers made the right choice by putting security and privacy at the top of the list followed by mobility, productivity and ease of use.
